South African Environmental Litigation: Pending Cases (as at 2011)

Pending or “live” legal challenges in which no ruling had been made at the time of compilation of the Centre for Environmental Rights (CER) review of administrative appeals and litigation between 1890 and 2011, pertaining to prospecting and mining, with a particular focus on environmental issues in mineral rights decision-making, environmental compliance, public consultation and access to information.
