This dataset, compiled by CCAPS, provides data on literacy rates, primary and secondary school attendance rates, access to improved water and sanitation, household access to electricity, and household ownership of radio and television at the subnational level, specifically the first administrative district level. An earlier version of the dataset required users to perform the join in ArcGIS between published shape files and data files. This version includes shape files with the data already joined. For those administrative regions with missing data, this is indicated with a value of -99999. The user must exclude these values before visualizing or analyzing the data.
